Is the Master Cleanse Healthy for You?

Although it has been around for almost 50 years, the Master Cleanse is now very much in the spotlight. It especially came out whenever Beyonce appeared on the Oprah show and stated how she had lost a lot of weight by using this particular fast. Now, many individuals are going on this particular diet in order to lose weight and get healthy again. Although people who have tried it are very positive about the results, there are still many individuals who are unsure about exactly how healthy the Master Cleanse really is.

The Master Cleanse is actually a fast that you stay on for around 10 days. Some individuals actually stay on this fast for 40 days or more but that is not generally recommended. The program itself is actually fairly simple to understand. You can drink eight to ten glasses of a special drink every day that is made from 8 ounces of water, two tablespoons of grade B organic maple syrup, two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a large pinch of cayenne pepper. It also helps to clean all of the toxins out of your body that had been accumulating over your lifetime. This not only helps you to lose weight, it helps you to gain clarity and to come out of the cleanse with a stronger purpose. Many individuals use this in order to break a habit or to lead them into a healthier lifestyle.

As to whether the Master cleanse is good or not, that will be up for you to decide. As far as anybody knows, nothing negative has ever happened from this particular fast. You are getting calories through the maple syrup. Having tried it myself, however, I realize that it actually does give you something that you may have been missing from your life.
