Asthma is so common that if you happen to not have it, you know somebody that suffers form it. If you do not understand what it fully is you do know what the symptoms are. Asthma is a respiratory condition where the small airways in the lungs tighten up, and it makes a person having an attack difficult to breathe. The time that an asthma attack can last is dependent on the seriousness of the condition and also how tight the airways happen to be.

People of any age can suffer from asthma but it is common to first appear when they are a child. Some lucky asthma suffers happen to outgrow this conditionThere are also some people that will live with asthma for the rest of their life, like symptoms of asthma. People who have no other asthma suffers in their family can acquire asthma. It is a misunderstanding about asthma, that it is passed down from generation to generation.

Some symptoms that are associated with asthma are cough, wheezing, tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing. These are symptoms that can vary from person to person. An asthma attack has levels of mild, moderate, and severe.

A mild asthma suffer usually has an attack when they have an upper respiratory infection. The rest of the other times they have no symptoms at all. Sometimes this can be confused with wheezing. Some moderate asthma sufferers can have some symptoms from time to time. It could be worse in the early morning or late in the night, when they have a cold, or have a lot of stress in their lives.

Asthma suffers that have severe asthma usually have asthma symptoms every single day. They find it hard to even talk to people at times, impossible to have any activity physically at all, not symptoms of asthma. They can also be admitted into the hospital many times a year due to their asthma.
